Mosquitoes need standing water to breed, and ticks need tall grass, leaf litter, or brush to ambush a host — both of which are common features of Crowell properties. a dry, sunny climate with genuine winter cold on the High Plains and much milder winters farther south near El Paso extends the active season for both considerably.
Our approach starts with identifying every standing-water source and brush or tall-grass area on the property, since those are where mosquitoes breed and ticks wait for a host. We treat vegetation and resting areas with a barrier spray and apply larvicide to any water that can't be drained, repeating on a seasonal schedule for ongoing control.
