Chino Valley's housing stock is part of what determines termite risk. Housing ranges from historic mining-town construction to newer builds on wooded acreage, with crawl spaces and partial basements far more common than in the valley below. Combined with the local climate — a four-season climate at roughly a mile of elevation, meaning actual cold snaps and occasional snow that the low desert never sees — soil-to-wood contact points around the foundation are the most common entry route.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
