Subterranean termites need soil contact and moisture to thrive, and Ludlow's conditions — an extremely hot, dry desert climate, with summer highs regularly topping 110°F and very low humidity — create exactly that. Stucco-and-block construction on concrete slabs is standard here, with irrigated golf-course landscaping common throughout. Termite colonies can go undetected for years, quietly compromising structural wood the entire time.
Termite treatment starts with identifying exactly where the colony is accessing the structure, since a targeted approach is far more effective than a blanket treatment. Depending on the property, we recommend either a liquid soil treatment creating a barrier around the foundation, or a bait-station monitoring system that's checked on a schedule.
