It's not bad luck — it's your zip code. Mooseheart sits in a climate shaped by proximity to Lake Michigan, with colder, snowier conditions than much of downstate Illinois. Much of Chicago's own housing stock is a century old or more, with mid-century and newer construction dominating the suburbs. That's exactly what Norway rats, house mice, German cockroaches, subterranean termites, carpenter ants, and stink bugs need to get inside. Waiting won't fix it. It just gives them more time to spread.
A one-size-fits-all spray doesn't cut it here. Historic brick two- and three-flat buildings make up much of the older city housing stock, alongside postwar suburban tract homes. So before we write a treatment plan, we inspect first. Water, tree cover, open land, building age — it all factors in. You get a real diagnosis, not a guess.
